Presentation of Orange County Arts Commission grant awards. <br />2. Informational report to the Board regarding activities and goals of the Arts <br />Commission. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Orange County Arts Commission was created by a resolution from the Board of County <br />Commissioners on February 4, 1985. The Arts Commission is the official county -wide <br />advisory body on the arts. Its primary goals are: (1) to serve as the Local <br />Distributing Agent of State Grassroots Grants funds for Orange County; (2) serve as <br />as "clearing house,, for information on the arts; (3) facilitate the development of <br />self- sustaining arts programs and (4) advise the Board of County Commissioners on <br />matters involving the arts. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): <br />Receive as information only. <br />
