Through the collaborative relationship between the <br />Health Department and the Dental School, Orange County provides <br />very economical yet high - quality dental services to its citizens <br />who are unable to afford private care. The terms of the contract <br />are unchanged from previous documents except for the effective <br />date starting July 1, 1990, through June 30, 1991. Funds to cover <br />the contract are included in the approved budget. <br />Submission of this contract for approval was delayed by the School <br />of Dentistry pending signatures by University and Hospital <br />officials which only came in December of 1990. In spite of the <br />delay, the service was uninterrupted. The University has absorbed <br />the cost and has not submitted a bill, awaiting full approval of <br />the contract. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve the contract and authorize the Chair to sign. <br />
