8 <br />D. APPROVAL OF ORANGE COUNTY TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT PLAN <br />Department on Aging Director Jerry Passmore presented for <br />consideration of Board approval the final Orange County Transportation <br />Development Plan covering the period 1991 -94. The report recommends <br />continuing with the County Department on Aging administering the C.A.T. <br />program, emphasizing and expanding human service agency transportation <br />and to begin limited public service with a new C.A.T. Express Shuttle <br />route having pickup points between Prospect Hill, Cedar Grove, <br />Hillsborough, Chapel Hill and Carrboro. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Insko, seconded by <br />Commissioner Gordon to approve and authorize the Chair to sign any <br />required certification documents following the county attorney's review. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />XI. APPOINTMENTS <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Insko, seconded by Commissioner <br />Gordon to approve the following appointments: <br />ARTS COMMISSION - Appointment of Betty Cloutier and Chris Firpo <br />to their first term and reappointment of Gerald Eidenier and Thomas Link <br />to their second full terms. <br />BOARD OF HEALTH - Appointment of Fred Battle as "Public" <br />representative for his first term. <br />TASK FORCE ON REDUCING VIOLENT CRIME AND ILLEGAL DRUG USE <br />Appointment of Elsie Pickett as the County representative <br />XII. MINUTES <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Insko, seconded by Commissioner <br />Gordon to approve the January 7, 1991 - regular meeting _minutes as <br />corrected. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />XIII. EXECUTIVE SESSION <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Gordon, seconded by Commissioner <br />Insko to go into Executive Session to discuss litigation. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />. Motion was made by Commissioner Gordon, seconded by Commissioner <br />Insko to adjourn the Executive Session and to reconvene into Regular <br />Session. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />XIV. ADJOURNMENT <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Gordon, seconded by Commissioner <br />Insko to adjourn the meeting. The next regular meeting will be held on <br />February 4 at 7:30 p.m. in the Courtroom of the Old Courthouse, <br />Hillsborough, North Carolina. <br />Beverly A.
