SPACE REOQIREMENTS FOR A MULTIPURPOSE CENTER AND ,SATELLITE <br />PIRUPRS IN CHAPEL HLL—Zo AND CARRBORO <br />The space requirements listed below are approximate <br />estimates needed for a Multipurpose Center and Satellite <br />Centers of Active Retirement. Attached is a chart <br />summarizing the projected senior center space needs for the <br />years 1990, 2000 and 2010. They are based on Architect Joe <br />J. Jordan's publication, senior Center gsi n and expressed <br />space needs of agency staff. <br />A. A Multipurpose Sea or Resource Center <br />Total Estimate - 10,000 - 15,000 sq ft (gross floor area) <br />According to Jordan's description, this is a type B facility <br />with average daily attendance between 125 -175 older adults. <br />C3 <br />
