NORTH CAROLINA <br />ORANGE COUNTY <br />AGREEMENT <br />THIS AGREEMENT is ent"red into this .Z1 day of Maw .1 <br />_ <br />1990 and by and betweem the —Town of t:arrboro, a munTa ?. <br />corporation "7he Town ") and O7°ange County, a body polit' i':. <br />and corporate Iht' County"). <br />WHEREAS, the County presently operates and maim* a <br />computer center serving various County departments an <br />outside agancias and wishes to continue making its Computer <br />Operations and services available to the Town; and <br />WHEREAS; the Town desires to purchase certain necessary, <br />computer services f-rQm the County; <br />NOW THEA ORE, in consideration of the premises and the <br />mutual promise, set Polk below, the parties agree that, for <br />a fee `Section 123. thq County shall provide 24 –hour, 7 day <br />a week computer services to the Town, including equipment, <br />hardware and software maintenance, required operator <br />training and software programs along with required <br />communication= linkage, all to be provided in accordance <br />with tKe following teems, conditions, and specifications. <br />The County shall provide the Town with the <br />following e•ga_pment: <br />A. $ . Mainframe Ports <br />B. 6 Data processing terminals <br />C. 1 High speed line printer <br />D. 1 Slow speed printer(s) <br />E. 2 ib Channel multiplexers (Town Hall) <br />V 2 9.6K Claud modems <br />U_ 2 Line drivers (PW) <br />2. The Town may add additional equipment, by an <br />addendQm to this agreement (Section 15). The fixed fee <br />shall be prorated based on actual start date for the <br />equipment, the additional charges will be based on Section <br />12. The County shall not be required to purchase more <br />equipment, supplies, cables, etc than the Town pays for the <br />first year of service for any new ports or requested service <br />or equipment. Ownership of equipment purchased pursuant to <br />this agreement shall remain in Orange County. <br />O. The County shall provide all equipment ,maintenance, <br />replacement or upgrades at the same level as that provided <br />for the other users of the grange County Data Processing <br />Cehter. The Town shall be responsible for repair of and tha <br />cost of repair and replacement to and the cost of <br />replacement to equipment damaged by the Town's negligent or <br />abusive use of the equipment. <br />
