Of the 37 known <br />pregnancies in the Orange County Schools during 188 -189, 11 are <br />known -to-- -have -- t-e-rminated their pregnancy. <br />314 students were enrolled in the family planning clinic at. <br />the Orange County Health Department from 7 -88 through 6 -89. 240 <br />of these were also followed at school by their school nurse to <br />provide health counseling and thereby improve method compliance. <br />Many of these students consume considerable nursing time. Of <br />the 37 pregnancies identified in the Orange County schools for <br />'88 -'89, 12 dropped out of school by the end of the school year. <br />9 n <br />t <br />
