2 <br />AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A FRANCHISE TO <br />CABLEVISION OF DURHAM, INC. <br />TO CONSTRUCT AND MAINTAIN A CABLE <br />TELEVISION SYSTEM WITHIN A <br />DELINEATED PORTION OF THE <br />UNINCORPORATED AREAS OF <br />ORANGE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF ORANGE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA <br />ORDAINS: <br />Section I. Grant and term. <br />Subject to the terms and conditions of the Orange County Cable <br />Television System Ordinance as amended and as it may be amended, <br />(hereinafter "the ordinance ") which ordinance is incorporated <br />herein by reference, and the other terms and conditions of this <br />ordinance (hereinafter "the franchise "), Cablevision of Durham, <br />Inc., its successors and assigns, (hereinafter "grantee" or "the <br />grantee ") is hereby granted the right, privilege and franchise to <br />construct or have constructed, operate and maintain a cable <br />television system and to operate a cable television service in the <br />portions of the unincorporated areas of Orange County, North <br />Carolina (hereinafter "county" or "the county ") delineated below <br />AND NO OTHER for the purpose of providing cable television service <br />to the citizens of the delineated portions of the unincorporated <br />areas of the county, and for that purpose to erect, install and <br />construct upon, across, beneath and along any street or road all <br />necessary cable and other equipment and facilities as may be <br />necessary and appurtenant to the cable television system. in <br />addition, this right, privilege and franchise shall extend to <br />1 <br />
