SAWYER <br />(1902 -1972) <br />r <br />January 22, 1991 <br />Mr. Bill Shaw <br />General Manager <br />Cablevision of Durham_ <br />708 East Club Boulevard <br />Durham, North Carolina 27704 <br />RE: Cable T.V. -- Cablevision of Durham Delineated <br />Franchise 4 <br />Dear Mr. Shaw: <br />Enclosed is a copy of the cable t.v. franchise <br />ordinance approved on second reading by Orange County <br />November 20, 1990 together with an Acceptance of <br />Franchise document which should be completed by <br />Cablevision of Durham and returned to me as soon as <br />possible along with the proofs of insurance, bonds and <br />so forth required by the Cable Television Ordinance as <br />modified by the franchise. Upon receipt, fully <br />executed, the acceptance will be attached to and become <br />a part of the franchise to Cablevision of Durham. <br />Please also provide, on behalf of Cablevision of <br />Durham, the information required in Section V(a) and <br />V(f) of the Orange County Cable Television System <br />Ordinance. Please provide this ownership information <br />to me with your fully executed Acceptance of Franchise. <br />Note that Section XIII of the Orange County Cable <br />Television System Ordinance provides for a "5% of gross <br />receipts" annual privilege fee along with reporting <br />requirements related to that fee. Please coordinate <br />with the Orange County Manager's office on providing <br />this annual fee and the reporting information required. <br />In response to your November 19, 1990 letter to <br />Albert Kittrell, a copy of which is enclosed, the <br />facilities described in the letter satisfy the <br />facilities requirements contained in Section XB of the <br />franchise ordinance approved by the Orange County Board <br />of Commissioners on November 20, 1990. <br />Finally, enclosed are copies of our statements to <br />Orange County showing total fees and expenses to the <br />County of in excess of $1,000.00.
