Link: <br />I am pleased to announce that Orange County has been awarded <br />$3, 000 matching funds under the North Carolina Land Records <br />Management Program (LRMP). Your application requesting funds <br />defined a program of land records improvements that will benefit the <br />county's operation and your taxpayers. <br />I understand that 58 counties requested grant funds totaling over <br />$7,500,000 against a much smaller amount in available grant <br />appropriations; therefore, grant awards had to be scaled back. <br />However, I hope that this grant award will help you move forward with <br />your excellent program. <br />You will be contacted shortly by Mr. Charles H.
