ORANGE COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />ACTION AGENDA ITEM ABSTRACT <br />Meeting Date: November 5, 1990 <br />Action Agenda <br />Item No. V-E <br />1 <br />SUBJECT: Cable TV System Ordinance Amendment <br />------------------------------ ---------------------------------- <br />DEPARTMENT: Manager PUBLIC HEARING YES: NO: X <br />ATTACHMENT(S): INFORMATION CONTACT: Manager's Office <br />Amendment to Section XVI (a) (vi) <br />TELEPHONE NUMBER- <br />Hillsborough - 732 -8181 <br />Chapel Hill - 968 -4501 <br />Mebane - 227 -2031 <br />Durham - 688 -7331 <br />PURPOSE: To consider amending Section XVI (a) (vi) of the Cable TV <br />System Ordinance. <br />BACKGROUND: The Cable TV Ordinance Amendment dispenses with requirement <br />of cable franchisees to tabulate service calls quarterly. <br />Franchisees will continue to log service calls, however, <br />tabulation and delivery of service calls to the County <br />Manager will be upon request. <br />To be adopted on the first reading, this amendment to the <br />Cable TV System Ordinance will have to be approved <br />unanimously by the Board. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve amendment to Cable TV System Ordinance. <br />
