Chandler <br />Division of Community Assistance <br />North Carolina Department of <br />Economic and Community Development <br />1307 Glenwood Ave. Suite 250 <br />Raleigh, N.C. 27605 <br />RE: Program Amendment <br />Rencher Street Improvement <br />Area <br />Grant 88 -C -7730 <br />Dear Mr. Chandler: <br />This letter transmits program amendment documents for <br />the above referenced Community Development Grant for review <br />and consideration by your staff. <br />Because of the nature of repairs required for one <br />dwelling unit in the Rencher Street Area it is necessary to <br />temporarily relocate the occupant during housing <br />rehabilitation. Specifically, a portion of the front of this <br />house lies in the street right -of -way and needs to be removed <br />in order for the.N.C. Department of Transportation to accept <br />the street into its.maintenance program. The original budget <br />does not include a line item for relocation, therefore, there <br />is a need to create a budget for this purpose. <br />The County is proposing a transfer of funds from the <br />clearance and acquisition line items to create the relocation <br />budget. Funds in these budgets will. not be needed as <br />originally proposed. <br />The Board of Commissioners held a public hearing during <br />its regular meeting on Monday, November 5, 1990 to receive <br />citizen comments regarding the amendment.
