Flood Damage Prevention Ordinance Amendments <br />(1) Article 2 Definitions <br />(2) Article 4.5 Manufacture Homes <br />Presentation by Mary Scearbo. <br />This item is for consideration of proposed <br />amendments to the Flood Damage Prevention <br />Ordinance to comply with revisions recommended by <br />the Federal Emergency Management Agency. <br />The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) <br />has revised the floodplain management regulations <br />and is recommending changes to the Orange County <br />Flood Damage Prevention Ordinance based on these <br />changes. <br />.r <br />The proposed revisions are additions and <br />clarifications of existing definitions to <br />correspond to the model ordinance definitions and <br />new requirements concerning manufactured homes in <br />existing parks will now have to elevate to the <br />base flood elevation or 36 inches in height above <br />grade on reinforced piers. <br />The Planning Staff recommends that the proposed <br />amendments be advertised for public hearing on <br />December 11, 1990. <br />MOTION: Jacobs moved approval for public hearing as <br />recommended by the Planning Staff.
