4A <br />"Manufactured Home Park or Subdivision" means a parcel (or <br />contiguous parcels) of land divided into two or more <br />manufactured home lots for rent or sale. <br />"Mean Sea Level" means the average height of the sea for all <br />stages of the tide. It is used as a reference for <br />establishing various elevations within the floodplain. For <br />uP rRoses of this ordinance, the term is synonymous with <br />National Geodetic Vertical Datum (.NGVD). <br />"National Geodetic Vertical Datum 1_NGVD)" as corrected in <br />1929 is a vertical control used as ^a reference for <br />establishing varying elevations within the floodplain. <br />"New Construction" means structures for which the "start of <br />construction" commenced on or after the effective date'of <br />this ordinance and includes any subsequent improvements to <br />such structures. <br />"New Manufactured Home Park or Subdivision" means a <br />manufactured home park or subdivision for which the <br />construction of facilities for servicincr the Jots on which <br />the manufactured homes are to be affixed (includinq at a <br />minimum, the installation of utilities, the construction of <br />street and either final site grading or the pouring of <br />concrete slabs ) is com leted on or after the effective date <br />of this ordinance. <br />"Non- Conforming Building or Use" means any legally existing <br />buildin- or use which fails to comply with the provisions of <br />the ordinance. <br />"Recreational Vehicle" means a vehicle which is: J_�j built on <br />a since chassis; (-b1 400 square feet or less when measured <br />at the largest horizontal projection; jcj designed to be <br />self - propelled or permanently towable by A light duty truck; <br />and, Idl designed primarily not for use as a permanent <br />dwelling, but as temporary living quarters for recreational, <br />camping, _ravel_, or seasonal use. <br />w <br />"Remedy A Violation" means to b_rincr the structure or other <br />development into compliance with State or local floodplain <br />management regulatiars, or, if this is not possible, to <br />reduce the .tea, -cts of its nor.- compliance. Ways that impacts <br />m... -.Y be reduced include protectiag the structure or other <br />affected development from flood damages, implementin the <br />enforcement proyisions of the ordinance or otherwise <br />deterring future similar violations, or reducing Federal <br />financial exposure with regard to the Structure or other <br />development. <br />"Start of Construction" (for other than new construction or <br />substantial improvements under the Coastal Barrier Resources <br />Act (Public Law 97- 348)), includes substantial improvement, <br />and means the date the building permit was issued, provided <br />the actual start of construction, repair, reconstruction, <br />rehabilitation, addition, or improvement was within 180 days <br />
