Day care facilities, including large homes, <br />located in commercial or office districts, would also be required <br />to obtain a Class B Special Use Permit.] <br />ARTICLE 6. APPLICATION OF DIMENSIONAL REQUIREMENTS <br />Proposed changes /new provisions are highlighted in bold. <br />6.27 Large Day Care Homes <br />[While permitting large day care homes by right, development <br />standards are included to- address the potential impacts of such a <br />use in a residential area. The standards are incorporated into a <br />new Article 5.27 and are almost identical to those applicable to <br />larger facilities. The principal difference is that large homes <br />would be subject to administrative (staff) approval rather than <br />that of a quasi - judicial board.] <br />6.27.1 <br />Site Plan Requirements <br />In addition to the information required by <br />Article 14.2, the following shall be submitted as <br />part of an application for site plan approval: <br />a) Evidence that the minimum requirements to <br />qualify for a State of North Carolina large <br />day care home license have been satisfied. <br />b) X floor plan of the proposed day care <br />home, showing the use and dimensions of each <br />room and the location of entrances and exits. <br />6.27.2 -Standards For Evaluation <br />The following standards shall be used in deciding <br />on an application for site plan approval for the <br />use: <br />a) The day care home is to be located in an <br />area which is free from conditions dangerous <br />to the physical and moral welfare of the <br />children. <br />b) The minimum requirements to qualify for a <br />State of North Carolina large day care home <br />
