Ci <br />1. Amend Article 2 - Definitions and Article 4.5 - Manufactured <br />Homes to conform with changes to the floodplain management <br />regulations administered by the Federal Emergency Management <br />Agency (FEMA). <br />The proposed amendments include new definitions, <br />clarifications to existing definitions, and new requirements <br />concerning manufactured homes. In designated floodplains, <br />replacement manufactured homes in existing manufactured home <br />parks will have to be elevated to the base flood elevation or <br />36 inches above grade on reinforced piers. <br />SCHEDULE OF PLANNING, INSPECTIONS, AND EROSION CONTROL FEES <br />The proposed amendment would permit the County Manager or <br />his /her designee to waive inspections, erosion control, and /or <br />planning fees for projects providing housing for the benefit of low <br />and moderate - income families. The same fees may also be waived for <br />County -- administered improvement projects, major utility and /or <br />reservoir construction by a municipality, private association, or <br />water and sewer authority, and projected development by or for a <br />State- supported university, the Orange County Board of Education, <br />or the Chapel Hill - Carrboro Board of Education. <br />All interested citizens are invited to attend this hearing and <br />be heard. Public comment will be received during the public <br />hearing. Following the close of the public hearing, only evidence <br />received in writing by the date of the Planning Board meeting <br />following the public hearing will be considered by the Board of <br />Commissioners for decision. <br />Changes may be made in the advertised proposals which reflect <br />debate, objections and discussion at the hearing. <br />Questions regarding the proposals may be directed to the <br />Orange County Planning Department located in the Planning & <br />Agricultural Center, 306F Revere Road, Hillsborough, North <br />Carolina.
