Willing Road <br />Township: Cheeks <br />Tax Map: 3.54..16 <br />Zoning District: Agricultural Residential (AR) <br />Violation: Outside storage of an estimated 15 junked motor <br />vehicles, an unoccupied mobile home, automotive <br />parts, batteries, motors, junked white appli- <br />ances, building materials, and trash <br />Accumulated Civil Penalties as October 24, 1990: $1,500 <br />Comments: Some three weeks after receiving the third <br />zoning violation letter and the date upon which <br />civil penalties would begin (Tuesday, September <br />25, 1990), Ms. McDuffie visited the Planning <br />and Inspections Offices on Monday,.September <br />24, 1990, to ask for an extension of time so <br />that clean -up activities could continue. Be- <br />cause it was evident that a serious effort was <br />being made to bring the premises into compli- <br />ance, she was given an additional seven days to <br />complete the work on or before Monday, October <br />1, 1990. On Thursday, September 27, Ms. McDuf- <br />fie visited the office again to give a clean -up <br />status report. Field inspection revealed that <br />acceptable progress was being made. On Monday, <br />October 1, Ms. McDuffie returned to the office <br />to ask for another extension, because progress <br />was evident after field inspection, seven more <br />days were granted on Monday, October 8. <br />Since that time, however, little or no work has <br />been evident, and violations continue. <br />Recommendation: That demand be made for payment of,civil <br />penalties at $100 per day beginning on <br />October 9, 1990, in the total amount of <br />$1,500 as of October 24, 1990. <br />6" <br />
