leAl <br />Program expertise covers a broad range of human resource and service concerns: <br />• Programs for children, youth and families, <br />• Programs and services for the elderly, <br />Child care and development, <br />Mental health, <br />• Public health, <br />• Community development, <br />Social Services, <br />Leisure and recreation programs and services. <br />The Human Services Research and Design Laboratory works in close partnership <br />with other support services and centers of the University of North Carolina at Chapel <br />Hill, Within the School of Social Work alone, services include the Psycho - social <br />Aspects of Medicine Center, and the Center for Aging Research, Education and Services. <br />Each of these organizations has had state and national influences and has conducted <br />studies of communities and leaders in North Carolina. <br />Other centers further enhance the capabilities of the Human Services Research <br />and Design Laboratory as well. These include the UNC - CH Academic Computing <br />Center (ACS), Microcomputer Support Center (MSC) and the Office of Data and Video <br />Communications (ODVC). The ACS offers use of a variety of mainframe computers, <br />software and complete support for these services. The MSC offers comprehensive <br />learning and support centers for software and hardware for MACINTOSH and PC <br />computers.
