e <br />t <br />- 5 <br />i <br />MINUTES <br />ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />APRIL 8, 1980 <br />The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in regular session on <br />Tuesday, April 8, 1980, at 10:00 a.m., in the Commissioners Room, Orange <br />County Courthouse, in Hillsborough, North Carolina. <br />Commissioners present: Commissioner Richard Whitted, Chairman, <br />and Commissioners Anne Barnes, Norman Walker, Norman Gustaveson and <br />_ Don Willhoit. <br />The following items were added to the agenda: <br />Agenda Item 20: Requested Space for Day Care Facilities <br />Agenda Item 18B: Announcement re Brigadoon Drive <br />Mr. Stuart Barbour requested the Eno River Group be given an <br />opportunity to address the Board for approximately two hours at its <br />next evening meeting. The Chairman said he would let Mr. Barbour <br />know of the next evening meeting in which the Board would be able <br />to hear his request. <br />Agenda Item 3: Minutes <br />Commissioner Willhoit moved, seconded by Commissioner Gustaveson, <br />to approve the minutes of March 24, 1980, as corrected. Vote: ayes, 5; <br />noes, 0. <br />Agenda Item 4: Road Naming Recommendations <br />Commissioner -Gustaveson requested a letter concerning the naming <br />of Road ' 1353 be submitted to the Road Naming Advisory Committee. <br />Commissioner Barnes moved, seconded by Commissioner Gustaveson, <br />to approve those names submitted by the Road Naming Advisory Committee for <br />New Hope Fire District, Orange Rural Fire District and South Orange Fire <br />District. Vote: ayes, 5; noes, 0. For copy of these names, see <br />page 385 of this book. <br />Agenda Item 5: Tax Release Request of Mr. Jeffrey A. Hoffman <br />The Tax Supervisor read to the Board Mr. Jeffrey Allan Hoffman's <br />request for release of 1979 taxes. <br />35 <br />
