No County match <br />is required for this grant. A copy of the award letter is <br />included in this package. <br />(2) The Agriculture Extension Service of Orange County has <br />been awarded a state grant to fund a 4 -H Science Project. <br />This program will provide day care and after - school <br />programs for 5 to 13 year olds and handicapped youths. In <br />order to provide this program, it will be necessary to <br />hire a temporary 4 -H Science Coordinator to organize <br />materials, train volunteers and teachers, and publicize <br />and evaluate the program. This $10,000 grant has been <br />awarded by the Department of Human Resources, and requires <br />a $2,500 cash and /or in -kind match from the Extension <br />Service. This amount is already budgeted in the 1990 -91 <br />fiscal year budget; therefore, no additional funds are <br />required. A copy of the Memorandum of Understanding and <br />the grant project ordinance are attached to this abstract. <br />
