34 <br />4) Additional certification on final plats <br />regarding access, future development, and <br />disclosure to prospective purchasers; <br />5) A cap on the number of lots /dwellings that <br />can be served by a Class A private road; <br />6) Transfer of inspection and certification <br />responsibility from the County to <br />professional engineers and /or registered land <br />surveyors; and <br />7) A reduction in the maximum grade allowed on a <br />private road. <br />The TAS considered the item on June 6, 1990 and <br />recommended approval of the proposed amendments <br />with the following changes: <br />1) Deletion of the proposed two lot limitation <br />on private roads 500 feet or less in length; <br />and <br />2) Inclusion of revised tent concerning the <br />number of lots /dwelling served by a private <br />road. <br />The TAS also requested Planning Board discussion <br />of the proposed private roads preamble on pages 1 <br />and 2 of the draft TAS minutes (copy an <br />attachment to these minutes on pages ) with <br />consideration for possible inclusion in the <br />recommendation to the County Commissioners. <br />The Planning Staff recommends approval or the <br />�r <br />proposed amendments consistent with the -rS <br />recommendation, including a layman's definition <br />o= the term ,nroofrolling" included under the <br />General Construction Sequence heading in the. <br />Orange County Private Road Standards- <br />Marvin Collins read from Iv -B -3 -b <br />All subdivisions containing private streets shall <br />have at least one street which in:.ersects wit:: or <br />joins an extension of a nub!; c, state, or <br />municipal maintained street. <br />He noted concern that all the private streets are <br />being forced close to public roads, creating <br />undeveloped areas further away.
