FU: <br />certifvinv professional or by actual soil compaction tests <br />if required ty-the-certifyina professional or the County—. <br />(The proposed amendment proposes more stringent standards for <br />roadbed construction). <br />Install culverts to provide cross drainage. <br />Construct side ditches and crown travelway. <br />Place and compact 4 inches of surface material. <br />Seed and mulch disturbed areas in order to stabilize. <br />Install standard road name sign. <br />Have final inspection and written certification by <br />certifying professional._ <br />STANDARDS FOR PRIVATE ROADS <br />The standards described herein are the minimum set forth <br />by the County. Orange County has not determined and is not <br />responsible for determining that these standards are adequate <br />or appr02riate for all uses by land owners. The standards <br />also may not me-et-NCDOT--criteria. No road will be accented <br />for maintenance by NCDOT unless or until NCDOT standards are <br />met. <br />Certification of Construction <br />rofessional engineer or registered land surveyor must <br />certify in writin to the Planning De artment that a Private <br />Road either existing, u2craded, or newly constructed meets <br />the standards of the re uired class for the subdivision. The <br />following must be inspected and certified: <br />1. the tgavelway is within the latted ri ht -of -wa <br />2, the Rroper material as been used in the trave wa and <br />it is built to he rgquired width and thicknes <br />3. the ,jhgplders are the correct width and &he typical <br />cross section is in place; <br />4. the road is on the Rroper aradei <br />5. ditches are in Rlace where necessary to provide adequate <br />drainage: <br />6. needed storm i es of pro er size materials and <br />construction are in--place and ener gy dissi ato s <br />installed; <br />7. all disturbed areas are pro erl y stabilized• <br />8. the re uired road si n is in lace• <br />underline = proposed text retained <br />bold = TAS /PB revision <br />
