iq <br />NEA funding is now being requested to assist with the <br />second phase of work which will be to develop specific <br />design guidelines for application by local governments <br />during the planning and development review process. <br />The goal is for these guidelines to be both practical <br />and sensitive to local visual character. A more <br />detailed description of the work to be accomplished <br />with NEA grant funds is included.with the attached <br />draft grant application. <br />RECOr'II"jENDATION: The Administration recommends that the Board of <br />Commissioners authorize the Chair to sign a letter <br />of endorsement in support of Triangle J's NEA grant <br />application for the Regional Image Guidelines project. <br />
