1 <br />11 <br />2 B. Z -4 -90 DOROTHY C. BANE REZONING <br />3 This property is located on the south side of US 70 <br />4 approximately 750 feet west of Mount Herman Church Road. The total <br />5 tract contains approximately 2 acres and fronts on US 70 for a length <br />6 of about 25 feet. The current zoning is R -1 (Rural Residential). The <br />7 proposed zoning is I -1 (Light Industrial). The Planning Board <br />8 recommended approval at their September 17 meeting. <br />9 1 Motion was made by Commissioner Marshall, seconded by <br />10 Commissioner Halkiotis to approve the rezoning of this property to I -1. <br />11 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />12 <br />13 C. ZONING ORDINANCE TEXT AMENDMENT - STUDIO, ARTS AND CRAFTS <br />14 This amendment would include arts and crafts studios as a <br />15 permitted use in commercial zoning districts. <br />16 Motion was made by Commissioner Hartwell, seconded by <br />17 Commissioner Marshall to approve this new.amendment which.will read as <br />18 stated below: <br />19 Studio Arts and Crafts - Room or building where an art is <br />20 taught, practiced or studied, or where a craft or product is manually <br />21 produced. Typical studio users include artists, musicians, dancers, <br />22 gymnasts, photographers, sculptors, wood and leather craftsmen, glass <br />23 blowers, weavers, and silversmiths. <br />24 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />25 <br />26 D. SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS TEXT AMENDMENT - MINOR SUBDIVISION <br />27 FINAL PLAT <br />28 This proposed amendment will require submittal of eight (8) <br />29 copies of the Final Plat with a minor subdivision application. The <br />30 Planning Board recommended approval on September 17, 1990. <br />- 3-1 Motion was made by Commissioner Marshall, seconded by <br />32 Commissioner.Halkiotis-t_o approve the proposed _ amendment as .stated <br />33 below: <br />34 III -C Approval Procedures for Minor Subdivisions <br />35 III -C -1 Concept Plan Approval <br />36 III -C -2 Application Requirements <br />37 <br />38 (b) Original mylar of the.Final Plat and eight <br />39 (8) copies thereof prepared in accordance <br />40 with Section V -D of this Ordinance; <br />41 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />42 <br />43 E. AMENDMENT TO PRIVATE ROAD STANDARDS <br />44 This proposed amendment would consider traffic impacts of <br />45 efficiency apartments and duplexes in determining the private road <br />46 classification for subdivision approval and eliminates approval by the <br />47 Board of Commissioners of Class A roads for minor subdivisions. The <br />48 Planning Board recommended approval on September 17, 1990. A parcel <br />49 containing an efficiency apartment would count as 1.5 lots, and a parcel <br />50 with a duplex as two lots when determining the appropriate private road <br />51 classification. The requirement that Class A private roads for minor <br />52 subdivisions be approved by the Board of Commissioners would be deleted. <br />
