BACKGROUND: Five (5) copies of the Final Plat are now submitted with an application for a minor subdivision Final Plat. Four (4) of these copies are sent to Land Records, EMS, Information Services, and the County Attorney, leaving one copy for the Planning Department files. Additional copies are needed for distribution to the appropriate utility providers and school district. It is sometimes necessary to distribute copies to the Recreation and Parks Department, NC Department of Transportation, or the Planning Department's Environmental Planner. Submittal of eight (8) copies of the plat is recommended. Additional copies could be requested if needed. The cost of supplying additional copies of the plat would not exceed one (1) dollar per copy, according to two local surveyors. The amendment was presented for public hearing on August 30, 1990. There were no comments. The Planning Board recommended approval of the proposed amendment on September 17, 1990. RECOMMENDATION: The Administration recommends approval of the proposed amendment per the Planning Board recommendation.
