Several <br />private airstrips located throughout the County. <br />5. The county is exposed to many hazards, all of which <br />have the potential to disrupt the community, cause <br />damage, and create casualties. Potential hazards <br />(natural or technological) by probability of <br />occurrance are: <br />a. Hazardous Material Incidents <br />b. Severe Winter Storms <br />C. Urban and Wildfires <br />d. Agricultural Drought <br />e. Power Failure <br />f. Flooding <br />g. Mass Casualty /Transportation Accidents <br />h. Tornados <br />i. Dam Failure <br />J. Earthquakes <br />k. Nuclear /Incident <br />B.. Assumptions <br />1. It is necessary for the County to plan for and to <br />carry out disaster response and short -term recovery <br />operations utilizing local resources, however, it <br />is likely that outside assistance would be <br />available in most major disaster situations <br />affecting the County. <br />F, <br />
