6 <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE ORDINANCE <br />TO IMPLEMENT THE ORANGE COUNTY LAND <br />RECORDS MODERNIZATION PROGRAM <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF ORANGE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA <br />ORDAINS: <br />Section 1. <br />An ordinance to implement the Orange County Land <br />Records Modernization Program is amended by adding <br />a new Section 2 as follows and renumbering <br />consecutively beginning with Section 3, the <br />existing Sections 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7: <br />Section 2. The Register of Deeds shall not accept for <br />registration any deed, deed of trust, map or <br />plat, or any other instrument affecting real <br />property unless the following requirements <br />are satisfied: <br />(1) the name and address of the person to <br />whom the map or instrument is to be returned <br />is affixed on the face thereof. <br />(2) the owner's, in the case of a map or <br />plat, or the grantee's, in the case of all <br />other instruments affecting real property, <br />permanent mailing address is affixed on the <br />face thereof. <br />Section 2. This ordinance amendment shall be effective upon <br />its adoption. <br />Adopted this day of 1990. <br />
