z <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: The cost of the renewal contract for Fiscal Year 2006-2007 is $32,587. <br />These costs are paid with County funds but serve as the required Maintenance of Effort in the <br />County Wark First Block Grant. The County was required to maintain the same amount of <br />County funding (approximately $1 million annually) as was spent for Aid to Families with <br />Dependent Children prior to the transition to Work First. The County receives about $1.6 million <br />in federal Work First funds each year. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board accept the Social <br />Services Board's recommendation and approve the renewal contract and authorize the Chair to <br />sign. <br />
