Methodist Church in Chapel Hill called Family Night. The program brings church members and <br />Work First participants together around a life management topic and dinner. The program has <br />been an overwhelming success. <br />2 <br />The Social Services Board has evaluated the performance and outcomes of this contract and is <br />recommending that the Board of County Commissioners approve $25,000 far Morgan and <br />Associates for Fiscal Year 2006-2007. The Board will receive a will receive a report on <br />outcomes for Fiscal Year 2006-2007. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: These costs are paid with County funds but serve as the required <br />Maintenance of Effort in the County Work First Block Grant. The County was required to <br />maintain the same amount of County funding (approximately $1 million annually) as was spent <br />for Aid to Families with Dependent Children prior to the transition to Work First. The County <br />receives about $1,6 million in federal Work First funds each year. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board accept the <br />recommendation of the Social Services Board to approve the renewal contract with Morgan and <br />Associates and authorize the Chair to sign the contract. <br />
