T <br />is provided by a ground absorption system with a design capacity of <br />more than 3,000 gallons per day. A permit for the operation of the <br />disposal system has been approved by the N.C. Division of Environmental <br />Management. <br />ZONING ORDINANCE TEXT AMENDMENTS <br />The proposed amendments to the Orange County Zoning Ordinance are <br />as follows: <br />1. Amend ARTICLE 22 DEFINITIONS to provide a definition of <br />arts and crafts studios. <br />2. Amend ARTICLE 4.3 TABLE OF PERMITTED USES to allow arts and crafts <br />studios as a use -by -right in commercial zoning districts. <br />SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS TEXT <br />The proposed amendments to the Orange County Subdivision <br />Regulations are as follows: <br />1. Amend SECTION IV -B -1 LOT STANDARDS to reflect the minimum lot <br />sizes needed to accommodate various types of wastewater disposal <br />and water supply facilities. <br />2. Amend SECTION III -C -2 APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS (MINOR SUBDIVISION <br />- FINAL PLAT) to require the submission of eight (8) blueprint <br />copies of a final plat instead of five (5) for distribution to <br />review agencies. <br />PRIVATE ROAD STANDARDS <br />The proposed amendments to the Orange County Private Road <br />Standards are as follows: <br />1. Eliminate the requirement that Class A private roads for minor <br />subdivisions be approved by the Board of County Commissioners. <br />2. Provide standards for determining the number of lots served by a <br />private road when lots are occupied by an efficiency apartment, a <br />duplex, or a home occupation. <br />All interested citizens are invited to attend this hearing and be <br />heard. Public comment will be received during the public hearing. <br />Following the close of the public hearing, only evidence received in <br />writing by the date of the Planning Board meeting following the public <br />hearing will be considered by the Board of Commissioners for decision. <br />Changes may be made in the advertised proposals which reflect <br />debate, objections and discussion at the hearing. <br />Questions regarding the proposals may be directed to the Orange <br />County Planning Department located in the Planning & Agricultural <br />Center, 306F Revere Road, Hillsborough, North Carolina.
