ORANGE COUNTY PLANNING DEPARTMENT .� . <br />306F REVERE ROAD J J <br />HILLSBOROUGH, NORTH CAROLINA 27278 <br />e' <br />NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON <br />A PROPOSED STREET NAME CHANGE, <br />THE ASSIGNMENT OF HOUSE NUMBERS TO RURAL POSTAL SERVICE ROUTES, <br />AND ON <br />PROPOSED REVISIONS TO THE ZONING ATLAS, ZONING ORDINANCE, <br />SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS, AND PRIVATE ROAD STANDARDS <br />FOR ORANGE COUNTY, NORTH „CAROLINA <br />Pursuant to the requirements of the General Statutes of North <br />Carolina, Chapter 153A, Articles 6, 18, 240, 323, and 343, and Chapter <br />113A, Article 1; Article 20, Sections 20.5 and 20.6, of the Orange <br />County Zoning Ordinance; and Section VIII of the Orange County <br />Subdivision Regulations, notice is hereby given that a public hearing <br />will be held at Phillips Junior High School on Estes Drive in Chapel <br />Hill, N.C. on Thursday, August 30, 1990, at 7:30 p.m. for the purpose <br />of giving all interested citizens an opportunity to speak for or <br />against the following items: <br />STREET NAME CHANGE <br />The public street proposed for a name change is Old N.C. Highway <br />86 from Interstate Highway 85 to the New Hope Church Road /Arthur Minnis <br />Road intersection. The proposed new street name is Old Chapel Hill <br />Drive. The proposal is based on a petiticn received from property <br />owners adjoining the street. <br />ASSIGNMENT OF HOUSE NUMBERS <br />The postal service routes proposed for a change from existing <br />rural box numbers to a system of permanently assigned house and <br />building numbers are as follows: <br />1. Rural Route 7 - Hillsborough <br />Route 7, Hillsborough, includes an area beginning at Wildwood <br />Subdivision on N.C. Highway 86; then southward to include Stagecoach <br />Run Subdivision, Woods Edge Mobile Home Park, and Acres of New Hope <br />Subdivision at Cheyenne Drive; then crossing westward to Old N.C. <br />Highway 86 (proposed Old Chapel Hill Drive) beginning at the NCDOT <br />Maintenance Complex and extending southward to include Oakdale Drive <br />and ending at Davis Road. <br />2. Rural Route 3 - Hillsborough <br />Route 3, Hillsborough, begins at Davis Road and extends south on <br />Old N.C. Highway 86 (proposed Old Chapel Hill Drive) to New hope Church <br />
