19 <br />PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE <br />Cablevision of Durham has and will continue an ongoing technical <br />maintenance procedure. The primary benefits of this program are <br />improved overall technical service to our subscribers and <br />increased usable life of cable plant facilities. Additionally, <br />it ensures all system technical specifications are met and <br />Cablevision of Durham is in compliance with the FCC require- <br />ments. A few pertinent examples are listed: <br />- Quality control tests for convertors <br />- Tower light monitoring <br />- Signal level for satellite delivered signals <br />- Satellite receiver monitoring <br />- Signal processor monitoring <br />- Modulator monitoring <br />- Standby power supply check <br />It is to the benefit of the longevity of our business to provide <br />the clearest, most reliable technical service to our subscribers <br />as possible.
