32 <br />1 <br />D R A F T <br />LONG RANGE PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />JULY 10, 1990 <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Chris Best (Acting Chair), Virginia Boland, Carol <br />Cantrell, Dan Eddleman, Mike Lewis, Larry Reid, Bill <br />Waddell. <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: Pegge Abrams, Clint Burklin, Betty Eidenier, Jean <br />Hamilton, Barry Jacobs (all excused). <br />STAFF PRESENT: Marvin Collins, Gene Bell, Beth McIver, David <br />Stancil, Joanna Bradshaw. <br />AGENDA ITEM #2: CONSIDERATION OF ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />There were no additions to the agenda. <br />AGENDA ITEM #4: CHAIR COMMENTS <br />Best noted that three of the absent Planning Board <br />members are on the Transportation Advisory <br />Subcommittee and did vote on the TAS <br />recommendation that is being presented tonight. <br />AGENDA ITEM #5: MATTERS HEARD AT PUBLIC HEARING 5/16/90 <br />10 a. Orange County Comprehensive Plan <br />(1) Section 2.6 Transportation <br />Presentation by Gene Bell. <br />Bell noted that Transportation Consultant, Larry <br />Meisner, was present to address any technical <br />questions that the Board may have. <br />Bell noted also that Beth McIver would present <br />comments from Ted Abernathy, Economic Development <br />Director. <br />Bell stated that the proposed amendment to the <br />Land Use Element of the Comprehensive Plan which <br />defines County - specific road classifications and <br />a collector /subcollector road system received no <br />comment at the public hearing or the TAS meeting. <br />
