8. Appoint appropriate person to serve as department head. <br />This person will work with county government officials to <br />conduct necessary county business as it relates to the Soi\ <br />and Water Conservation District and staff. <br />WHAT THE SERVICE WILL DO: <br />1. Make available <br />through the <br />District, <br />such personnel <br />as <br />available to <br />assist <br />the County <br />in helping <br />to bring about the <br />conservation, <br />development, <br />and <br />wise use <br />of land, water <br />and <br />related resources. <br />2. Provide assistance to the District and County in <br />accordance with priorities set by the District for the kinds <br />and amounts of work to be performed. <br />3. Assist the County in accordance with an annual plan of <br />operation prepared by the Service in consultation with the <br />District and the County. <br />4. Be responsible for technical supervision of all <br />assistance provided the District and the County. <br />5. Assist the District and the County in establishing and <br />maintaining standards and specifications for conservation <br />use and treatment of land. <br />6. Assist the District and the County in preparing and <br />implementing resource conservation plans within the limits <br />outlined above. <br />
