M <br />MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br />BETWEEN THE <br />ORANGE SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT <br />and the <br />SOIL CONSERVATION SERVICE, USDA <br />and the <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE, NORTH CAROLINA <br />This Memorandum of Understanding is between the Orange <br />Soil and Water Conservation District, hereinafter called the <br />District, and the Soil Conservation Service, hereinafter <br />called the Service, and the County of Orange, North <br />Carolina, hereinafter called the County. <br />The District, the Service, and the County have the <br />common objective of helping to bring about the conservation, <br />development, and wise use of land, water, and related <br />resources. They, therefore, enter into this Memorandum of <br />Understanding as the foundation for an enduring cooperative <br />working agreement. <br />Under the terms of the Soil Conservation Act of 1935 <br />and other Acts, the Soil Conservation Service is authorized <br />to cooperate with and to furnish assistance to the District <br />for conservation and resource development work. <br />The General Statutes of North Carolina establishes the <br />District as a governmental subdivision of the State of North <br />
