46 <br />Under present regulations, a Class C road serves up to three lots. A <br />Class B road serves four to nine lots. A Class A road serves 10 or <br />more lots. It is proposed that a parcel containing an efficiency <br />apartment count as 1.5 lots, and a parcel with a a duplex or home <br />occupation count as two lots. <br />It is also proposed that the requirement that Class A private roads for <br />minor subdivisions be approved by the Board of Commissioners be <br />deleted, as this has not been the practice, and it is inconsistent with <br />the current policy of procedural simplification. <br />EXISTING AND PROPOSED ORDINANCE PROVISIONS: <br />ORANGE COUNTY PRIVATE ROADi STANDARDS <br />The standards and specifications for Private Roads apply to <br />subdivisions in Orange County and the class of road required depends on <br />the number of lots served by the road.
