.++r
Cemetery (requires a Class B SUP in R -1)
Nonprofit Educational Cooperative (Class A SUP)
Extraction of Earth Products (Class A SUP)
The proposed rezoning from AR to R -1 was presented at
public hearing on May 29, 1990. Two citizen requests
for exclusion from the rezoning were received and
included in the minutes of the hearing (refer to
attachments). Both land owners are interested in
operating greenhouses with on- premise sales, which is
a permitted use in AR, but not in R -1. Greenhouses
without on- premise sales are permitted in R -1.
Following the hearing, the Planning Staff determined
that on- premise sales from greenhouses could be
allowed in the R -1 district through a home occupation
permit. Those who requested not to have their property
rezoned were informed how they could comply with the
Zoning Ordinance if the rezoning to R -1 is approved.
The Planning Board recommended approval of the
proposed Zoning Atlas amendment from Agricultural
Residential to Residential -1.
RECOMMENDATION: The Administration recommends approval as per the
Planning Board's recommendation.
