DMG°a�v <br />NORTH CAROLINA <br />ORANGE COUNTY <br />LEASE AMENDMENT <br />This lease amendment dated the day of August, 1990 by <br />and between Orange County (County) and The Arts Center, Inc. <br />(ArtsCenter). <br />W I T N E S S E T H: <br />WHEREAS, County and ArtsCenter are parties to a lease <br />agreement dated August 18, 1987 (Lease or the Lease), which Lease <br />expires June 30, 1992 and which Lease provides that ArtsCenter is <br />the lessor and County is the lessee of 2112 square feet of space <br />located at 30OG East Main Street, Carrboro, North Carolina (the <br />leased space); and <br />WHEREAS, County is a subtenant of ArtsCenter for the leased <br />space in that ArtsCenter is a tenant of Main Street Partners for <br />the premises located at 30OG East Main Street, Carrboro, North <br />Carolina; and <br />WHEREAS, County pays rent totalling $13,632 per year for the <br />leased space; and <br />WHEREAS, County shares some of the leased space with <br />ArtsCenter which sharing is scheduled as provided in the Lease; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, County shares some of the space leased by <br />ArtsCenter from Main Street Partners at times when the space is <br />not used by ArtsCenter for ArtsCenter's programs and activities; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the sharing of space by County and ArtsCenter was <br />contemplated by the parties and the rent established considering <br />this sharing of space at the time County and ArtsCenter entered <br />3 <br />
