2 <br />PROPOSED ORDINANCE AMENDMENT <br />ORDINANCE: SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS <br />REFERENCE: SECTION II - DEFINITIONS <br />ORIGIN OF AMENDMENT: x Staff Planning Board <br />BOCC Public <br />Other: <br />STAFF PRIORITY RECOMMENDATION: High Middle _x—Low <br />Comment: <br />PUBLIC HEARING DATE: May 29, 1990 <br />PURPOSE OF AMENDMENT: <br />To amend the definition of "subdivision, minor" in Section II <br />of the Subdivision Regulations to correspond with the <br />definition as previously amended in Section III -B. <br />IMPACTS /ISSUES: <br />Section III -B of the Subdivision Regulations (Classification <br />of Subdivisions) was amended on September 5, 1989 to allow <br />the creation of up to five (5) lots during a twenty -four <br />month period through the minor subdivision review.process. <br />Prior to the September 5 amendment, four lots could be <br />created from a lot -of- record. . <br />Revision to the definition of "subdivision, minor" in <br />Section II of the Subdivision Regulations was overlooked at <br />that time. The proposed amendment will provide consistency <br />between Section II (Definitions) and Section III -B. <br />(Classification of Subdivisions). <br />EXISTING ORDINANCE PROVISIONS: <br />SUBDIVISION, MINOR - A division of a tract of land into no <br />more than four (4) lots which access to be provided either <br />from an existing public street or from a private road as <br />defined in the Orange County Subdivision Regulations. <br />PROPOSED ORDINANCE PROVISIONS: <br />SUBDIVISION, MINOR - A division of a tract of land that does <br />not: <br />(1) Create more than five (5) lots, including the <br />residual acreage, from any one (1) tract of land in <br />any twenty -four (24) month period; <br />
