I <br />CABLE TELEVISION FRAFCHISING 0RDIAARCE AMENDMENT <br />WHEEiEAS, the County Commissioners of Durham County granted to Carolina <br />Cable, Inc., a franchise on 7 July, 1981, which authorized the provision of <br />cable television services to a small area within Durham County within the city <br />limits of the Town of Chapel hill, and <br />WHEREAS, Carolina Cable, Inc., now desires to provide services to residents <br />within Orange County in an area which can only be reached by passing over roads <br />within Durham County, and <br />WHEREAS, Duke Power Company has agreed that Carolina Cable, Inc., can <br />install these transmission lines on poles maintained by it provided the Board <br />of Commissioners amends the franchise to allow for the installation of said <br />lines, <br />NOW ME- REFORE, the Board of Commissioners adopts this ordinance amendment <br />to amend the cable television franchise previously granted to Carolina Cable, <br />Inc., effective July 7, 1981 by adding to that franchise the authority to <br />install transmission lines through the areas of Durham County shown on the maps <br />attached hereto as Attachments A and B.. <br />All terms of the original franchise not expressly altered hereby remain in <br />full force and effect. <br />Passed fir t reading by the Board at its regular meeting of July 23, 1990. <br />Adopted by the Board on second reading at its regular meeting of <br />1990. <br />Carry E.
