Participant. <br />A monitoring contact will be made at <br />least quarterly to each service <br />recipient during the period. <br />AFF -IN G <br />E UIREMENTS: <br />The provider shall assure "supervision <br />Of all respite care workers. <br />PROHIBITED SERVICE <br />ACTIVITIES: <br />HIS TRAINING <br />E E_ ES <br />All respite aides shall be at least <br />eighteen (18) years Of age and older. <br />Ability to follow oral and written <br />instructions and keep necessary records. <br />Understanding of care of disabled, ill <br />or convalescing people. <br />Staff assignments shall be determined <br />by the level of care needed (e.g., <br />chore, homemaker, registered nurse). <br />Assigned staff dust have the <br />appropriate training to provide <br />services to a given client. <br />- Accepting gifts <br />- Lending or borrowing money or <br />articles. <br />- Minor home repairs <br />Pet grooming <br />- <br />Yard maintenance <br />Heavy household cleaning (cleaning <br />closets, washing walls) <br />Shall include the following: <br />Twenty (20) hours of training and/or <br />orientation including the following: <br />I. Orientation to respite care <br />2. Basic first aid - <br />3. Emergency response <br />4. Human relationship skills <br />a. Coping skill, regarding <br />disorientation and dementia. <br />b. Aging process <br />C. Dealing with terminal illness <br />1. <br />
