Hill - 968 -4501 <br />Mebane - 227 -2031 <br />Durham - 688 -7331 <br />-- <br />PURPOSE To consider an agreement between Orange County DSS and UNC <br />Hospitals (UNCH) for two hospital based Medicaid Eligibility <br />Caseworkers. <br />BACKGROUND: Two full time Eligibility Caseworkers are based at UNC <br />Hospitals to conduct interviews and initiate Medicaid <br />application. UNCH reimburses Orange County 100% of the <br />County's share of the salaries and benefits involved in <br />maintaining these workers at the hospital, including 10% <br />of the salary and benefits of a full -time supervisor. <br />RECOMNENDATION(S): Approve the Agreement and authorize the Chair to <br />sign. <br />J <br />
