OPC -MHC would reimburse Orange <br />County at $8.00 per hour for the established courier /Adult <br />Day Treatment Program route (35 hour week) and for the <br />Children's Learning Center route (20 hour week). Contract <br />period would be July 1, 1990 through June 30, 1991, generating <br />$ 22,000 in revenues. <br />BACKGROUND: The Orange CAT Program, administered by the Department on <br />Aging, provides van drivers to transport program clients, <br />materials and supplies. This agreement would maintain the <br />coordinated use of certified drivers and courier who also <br />provides anvil delivery to county departments between <br />Hillsborough and Chapel Hill. <br />The agreement would pay for the cost of hiring a part -time <br />driver and support a full time courier position. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve agreement and authorize the Chair to sign. <br />
