12 <br />1990 -91 PROPOSED ORANGE COUNTY BUDGET <br />LINE ITEM DESCRIPTION /EXPLANATION <br />SCHOOL SYSTEM: ORANGE COUNTY SCHOOLS <br />FUND TYPE: LOCAL CURRENT EXPENSE <br />CATEGORY OF FUNDING: EQUITY FUNDING REQUEST* <br />EMPLOYEE BENEFITS PROGRAM <br />$ 42,500 Tenured Teacher Supplement -This amount would add <br />one -half percent to the supplement plan. <br />$ 15,000 Non - Tenured Teacher Supplement -This amount would <br />add one -half percent to each year group to this <br />supplement plan. <br />$ 16,500 Classified Supplement -This amount would add one - <br />half percent to this supplement plan. <br />INSTRUCTIONAL SUPPORT SERVICES <br />$ 30,000 Parent School Relations Coordinator -As a'result of <br />our Communications Task Force's work we are <br />recommending this position to manage our <br />communications efforts with the school system and <br />the community at large by setting up a formal <br />program for parent /school relations. <br />TOTAL EQUITY FUNDING REQUEST $ 104,000 <br />* These items are being submitted for consideration of the <br />County Commission to indicate the items we would fund if funds <br />are made available through a move toward equity funding for the <br />two school systems. <br />
