C-1 <br />1990 -91 PROPOSED ORANGE COUNTY BUDGET <br />LINE ITEM DESCRIPTION /EXPLANATION <br />SCHOOL SYSTEM: ORANGE COUNTY SCHOOLS <br />FUND TYPE: LOCAL CURRENT EXPENSE <br />CATEGORY OF FUNDING: ADDITIONAL CONTINUATION <br />REGULAR INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAMS <br />$ 9,200 Replace QUEST Materials -This specialized middle <br />school program requires additional training and <br />materials to continue in operation. <br />PUPIL SUPPORT SERVICES <br />$ 1,400 Reprint Students Rights Handbook -This book must be <br />reprinted every few years for distribution to <br />students and parents. <br />$15,000 Home School Workers position approved in last <br />budget cycle started mid -year. <br />SCHOOL ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT <br />$ 6,500 Continued student population growth at G. A.Brown <br />requires the addition of a half -time clerical <br />office person. <br />BUSINESS SUPPORT SERVICES <br />$16,000 Half -time custodians are needed due to expanded <br />facilities at Cameron Park and G. A. Brown. <br />$ 11800 Position reclassification for Head Custodian. <br />$16,500 Maintenance Secretary need due to expanded <br />building program. <br />$30,000 Safety Coordinator duties are being removed from <br />another position due to continued expansion of <br />state and federal regulations. <br />$ 8,000 Additional Supplies and training are needed within <br />the finance department due to change in computer <br />systems. <br />$12,500 Heating and Air Conditioning Technician -This <br />Position was approved in the last budget cycle and <br />started mid -year. <br />
