(f) In Article 2 strike out original provisions of paragraph 2.4.2 and insert in lieu thereof the following as paragraph 2.4.2: "The Architect, after consultation with the Owner, shall prepare the necessary bidding information and bid forms to comply with public building laws as set forth in North Carolina General Statutes Chapter 143, including the necessary information required by Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes pertaining to the licensing of contractors, and shall assist the Owner in the preparation of the conditions of the contract and the form of the agreement between the owner and the General and Prime Contractors." (g) In Article 2, paragraph 2.4.3 amend line two by striking out words "preliminary estimates of" and inserting in lieu thereof the language: "statements of probable "; and in line three of said paragraph immediately preceding the word "requirements" insert the following: "scope of the work, ". (h) In Article 2 immediately following paragraph 2.4.4 add the following new paragraph which shall be paragraph numbered 2.4.5 providing: "The Architect shall include in the bidding information, plans or specifications a requirement that Prime Contractors provide operation manuals and adequate training for the Owner in the operation of mechanical, electrical, heating and air - conditioning systems installed by the Prime Contractors." (i) In Article 2 immediately following paragraph numbered 2.5.1 add the following paragraph numbered 2.5.1 reading: "In the event the lowest responsible bids exceed the funds appropriated for the project, the Architect, in consultation with and at the direction of the Owner, shall provide such modifications in the contract documents as shall be necessary to bring the cost of the proj ect within the proj ect I s budget. " (j) In Article 2 amend paragraph 2.6.2 by striking out the word "the" in first line immediately after the word "of" and inserting in lieu thereof "all Prime ", and by adding an "SIT at the end of the first word ending in line 2, and at the end of said paragraph changing the period to comma and adding the following additional language: "as amended by the Owner." (k) In Article 2 amend paragraph 2.6.3 by inserting at the beginning and immediately prior to the original provisions of said paragraph the words "construction phase ", and in third line immediately following the word "Architect" insert "and notice to prime contractors." and striking out the remaining original provisions of said paragraph.
