Joint Public Hearing - Rural Character Study <br />Review was done by Chair of the Rural <br />Character Study Committee, Clint Burklin. <br />25 <br />Over the past eight months, the Rural Character <br />Study Committee has met with rural and urban <br />residents, civic groups, and elected and advisory <br />boards in attempting to draft an Open Space /Rural <br />Character strategy for the Rural Buffer, the primary <br />focus of the Rural Character Study. <br />On March 12, the RCSC reached a consensus on a <br />recommended Rural Buffer strategy. The strategy <br />document is in the process of being rearranged and <br />reformatted for public hearing, and will be adopted <br />in final form by the Committee at its meeting on May <br />24. The proposed rearrangement does not <br />substantially alter the substance and content of the <br />March 12 Conceptual Guidelines for the Rural Buffer. <br />
