ARTICLE 4 = DISTRICT STATEMENT$ OF INTENT AND APPLICATION CRITERIA <br />PLANNING BOARD <br />FINDINGS BASED BOARD OF <br />ON SUBMITTED <br />COMMISSIONERS <br />APPLICATION EVIDENCE SUBMITTED TO SUPPORT FINDINGS FINDINGS <br />Ordinance leagirefflent, <br />Article 4.2 identifies the <br />criteria which will normally <br />be used to determine the <br />application of a zoning <br />district designation. The <br />applicant has applied for <br />an Agricultural Residential <br />designation. The criteria <br />for that district are set <br />forth in Article 4.2.2 as <br />follows: <br />(a) Intent <br />The purpose of the <br />Agricultural Residential <br />(AR) District is to assist <br />in the preservation of <br />land suitable, as a result <br />of location, existing <br />farming operations, soils <br />and topography, for <br />agricultural, silvicultural <br />(forestry) or horticultural <br />uses and to protect such <br />uses from the adverse <br />effects of incompatible <br />Land uses. <br />(b) Application Criteria <br />This district will usually <br />be applied where the <br />following conditions exist: <br />Yes ,rx_No There are no existing or proposed <br />farming operations which would be <br />preserved and protected by <br />Agricultural Residential zoning. <br />1. Designated by the adopted Yes _x —No <br />Comprehensive Plan as <br />Agricultural Residential. <br />Yes No <br />The subject property is designated in Yes No <br />the Rural Residential classification <br />of the RuraL Buffer category in the <br />Joint Planning Area Land Use Plan.
