Drawer 110 <br />Chapel Hill, NC 27514 <br />Re: Chestnut Oaks Subdivision <br />Dear Mr. Woods: <br />In the letter which you received from the Planning and <br />Inspections Department two months ago, you were informed that <br />the preliminary plan for Chestnut Oaks Subdivision expired <br />last year. That letter also included two options which <br />Habitat for Humanity must choose from if development of <br />Chestnut Oaks is to continue. <br />On April 2, 1990, the regulations pertaining to development <br />in the University Lase Watershed were amended by the Boara o_ <br />County Commissioners. Consequently, if Habitat chooses to <br />submit a new preliminary plan for the remainder of Chestnut <br />Oaks, the recently adopted standards must be followed without <br />exception (refer to enclosure). <br />If, however, Habitat elects- to request that the County <br />Commissioners approve an amended phasing plan 'or the <br />subdivision, I strongly recommend the following steps he <br />taken: <br />1) Submit a new letter of credit for improvements required <br />in Phase II. <br />2) Submit a written request with justification for <br />approval of an amended phasing plan. This request wiT.h <br />20 copies of the preliminary plan with revised phase <br />lines must be received by May 4, 1990, to be considered <br />by the Planning Board at their meet_ ;ng on May 21 and <br />then by the County cc.-nmissioners on June 4. <br />17 <br />
