As with the houses it <br />constructs, Habitat may also seek donations of materials <br />and /or labor for building the subdivision roads. <br />On May 21, 1990, the Planning Board considered Habitat for <br />Humanity's request for an amended phasing plan. Members <br />of the Board were divided in their discussion of the <br />issues involved. some members felt that the Subdivison <br />Regulations should be applied equally to anyone who seeks <br />to develop property in Orange County. Others argued that <br />Chestnut Oaks was a unique application and should be <br />given special consideration. In a five to four vote, the <br />Planning Board recommended approval of the Planning <br />Staff's recommendation that Habitat's request for an <br />amended phasing plan should be resubmitted without major <br />modification to include public roads that were approved <br />with the original preliminary plan in February of 1988. <br />RFCO1rIIMNDATION: The Administration recommends that the request for an <br />amendment to the Phasing Plan of Chestnut Oaks be <br />resubmitted without major modification to accommodate <br />the public roads approved as part of the Preliminary <br />Plan on February 16, 1988. <br />
