No action would-be ta en <br />to approve or deny the project until after the <br />environmental impacts were disclosed at the public hearing. <br />Variation 1 - Projects Involvin Mining or Hazardous Waste <br />Standard Review Procedure as above, with the following changes: <br />Step 1 - (Same as Standard Review Procedure <br />Step _2 - The distribution list for the EIS also includes the State <br />Clearinghouse. <br />Step 3 - While availability of the EIS for review is being <br />advertised in local newspapers, it will also be advertised <br />in the Environmental Bulletin published by the State <br />Clearinghouse. Comments received by the State will be <br />reviewed by the Clearinghouse at the close of the 15 -day <br />review period, and will.then be forwarded to the Planning <br />Department. <br />Step 4 - Local as well as State comments will be compiled and <br />summarized. It may take two to three weeks longer to <br />receive comments from the Clearinghouse, depending on when <br />the document is received.
